What a year it has been for travel!! By the end of the year, I would have been away for 72 days, including the 10 days I will be gone at the end of this month. Pretty great, right? We have covered the US and Canada in the international section and Goa, Bangalore, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi and Koilwar (end of this month) in the domestic sector. Overall a superb and fulfilling year traveling, expect that with my luck of travel, my flights are usually delayed, cancelled, diverted and kept circling above cities for a couple of hours. I believe, it has something to do with my travel fortune.

So I got back from Canada, a couple of days back and I must say it feels great to be back in the warmth of Bombay. The weather here is simply glorious. Toronto wasn’t as cold as I expected it to be, in fact it was a lot colder when I visited in October a couple of years back. Our trip driving from Toronto to the US, near NYC was simply superb. We stopped in the wind country of New York state in Auburn, NY along the was, visited some local wineries overlooking Cayuga Lake and stopped for lunch at Ithaca at Cornell University. Driving through the Catskills along the Delaware river was beautiful, even though the trees were bare and brown. It’s an area we will definitely be returning to in the summer or fall. Will post some pics I had taken of the area later.
