All my efforts to post regularly and post interesting articles, has paid off and the number of visitors has increased significantly. Age of a blog is quite important, my oldest blog was started in August 2004 and its PR takes that age into account with a higher PR.

Godrej & Boyce’s retail divison, Godrej Lifespace announced that it would be increasing its stores from it’s current 49 to 100 by the year 2010. A total investment of Rs. 200 million is being planned for this venture. Godrej & Boyce will also be investing an additional Rs. 500 million on advertising and promotions and another Rs. 100 million on developing talent for its stores. Besides it’s stapes of home and office furniture, home appliances, and accessories, the company will add new product categories. New stores will open in Vijaywada, Vishakapatnam and Hyderabad, which is one of their most successful and profitable centers.

I got my first credit card when I was 21 and quite frankly went a bit overboard in using it. I was about to graduate from college and suddenly everything that I earlier would have liked to buy, became necessities and I kept on buying them with my credit card, to be paid off once I started my job after graduation. My initial plan was to pay off as much as I could, so I could keep up with what I was spending and not build up my debt too much, but it becomes really hard to follow after a while. Now, I use credit cards simply as a way of making a payment and send in a check immediately, so that I am not even charged any interest on it. One has to be smart about using credit cards and one has to know what one is really getting them for.

The RPG Group is focusing on Orissa for its retail expansion as it feels that the state is ripe for expansion. The company will be investing Rs. 2 billion in the state to set up retail chains in the next two years. RPG will be opening 25-30 stores in the state, including supermarkets, hypermarkets and convenience stores.
