Wal-Mart to launch offer prepaid card
Wal-Mart will be launching a prepaid card for its customers who do not have bank accounts. The company is yet to give out any official details on the card, but according to a website called walmartmoneycard.com, the card will be a Visa card and will be able to be used anywhere Visa is accepted. It is estimated that about 9% of the US population or 28 million people do not have bank accounts and this card is aimed at these consumers.
“Wal-Mart has long stood for low prices and value, and this plan is another page out of that book,” says John Champion, a retail strategist at global consulting firm Kurt Salmon Associates. “The only surprise is that it didn’t occur sooner.”
We will be moving in a month or so and will not be taking any of our furniture. Just got back from a lovely evening out with family.
