Today, I finally started working on figuring out how much to sell our things for. We barely have any time before we have to shift and as the time is nearing, it’s getting more and more urgent. It’s a bit sad making a list of all the things will we be selling, giving away here, since everything has been lovingly bought in just the past few years. Everything seems too new to be abandoned or sold at below its value, but that’s how life goes I guess. One should never get too attached to things and place too much importance on them.

According to research most customer only manage to find seven out of ten items on their shopping lists when visit their local big box retailer. While supercenter’s are great for doing a more varied shopping, shoppers are not guaranteed to find all that they need in these large stores. Wal-Mart is working to make its stores easier to navigate so that its shoppers can find each and every item on their lists, with changes like improved signage, prominent placement of hot selling items and better staffing the checkout counters. Home Depot is also coming up with its own plan for keeping shoppers happy, with personal assistants, better light bulbs and many other such methods. Retailers are realizing that bigger is not always better and customers are not interested in roaming the store endlessly.
