A travel site that gives much more information than just bare bones bookings? That’s what Side Step is all about and this is what makes it so unique and worth going back to. Planning a vacation is so much more than just the hotel booking, car rentals and air tickets, it about finding out details about a place so that you can understand it and learn its intricacies like the locals do.

Air Tickets are a highly competitive part of travel sites and I found some great prices to Prague, a place that we plan to visit, hopefully sooner than later. What I really liked about searching for tickets on Side Step is the amount of information and choices you have. In booking air tickets, for example, you can see all the pertinent information directly in the sidebar, from the cheapest time of travel or each flight, the number of stops, cost per airline and so on. Being able to see this information at a glance, makes it much easier to make an informed decision.

Once I had seen the prices of air tickets, I went to the Travel Guide section to find information about Prague, where to stay, what to do, where to eat etc. The travel guide section provides very detailed information about a destination and makes it easy to calculate the costs of food, hotel, public transport, monuments etc. It’s things like this that make planning a vacation so much easier and much more fun. All in all, it is definitely a site that I would go back to for booking hotels, airlines and information about my destination.

Something fun to start off the day with. I always look forward to these Blaugh cartoons, as they are able to pinpoint things exactly from a blogger’s perspective. I do wish they would publish more often though.

Retail 7:08 am

Big Box retailers such as Petco and Office Depot are following Wal-Mart and opening stores in same locations to pull in more traffic. In the Baltimore area, a 230,000 sq ft Wal-Mart will open and be flanked by a 16,000 sq ft Petco and a 20,000 sq ft Office Depot. The stores are likely to open in the fall and will have close to other tenants as well, such as a Three Brothers Italian Restaurant and 55,000 sq ft of office space.
