The world around us

It’s been a nice break being in Delhi for a few days and I am thoroughly enjoying the much needed relaxation, especially since I know that it’s going to get super hectic once again. Well, that’s the way life goes I guess, and one must learn to take each moment as it comes in the right spirit. Enjoy the good times to the max and be inspired by them during bad times.

Here’s to a new start!!

For the past month, we’ve been totally caught up in finding a home, sorting our things and moving and we’re right in the middle of the process at present. I’ve always been fascinated with the southwestern and Mediterranean style of homes and would love to find something along the lines that one can get in Phoenix Rental Homes, which are a great mix of modern utility and comfort. I like a contemporary look and my ideal home would have an elegant but modern look, some hard angles but with lots of soft touches as well.

Phoenix is one of those cities, where there is great variety of old and new, which is so important in giving character to a city or to a home. In general, Phoenix residents are influenced quite a lot by the decor and customs of the region’s local geography, which makes homes so much more interesting than in other places. I feel it is very important not to have a generic feel to a home and each place that you live in must have a unique touch to it, something that will make it stand out from all the others.

What is it about banks that make things so complicated, and even the simplest of jobs are made to be cumbersome ‘events’ that they have no reason being. Due to our move, we’ve been clearing and closing lots of accounts and credit cards, but instead of the process being smooth and simple, one of our banks is making all efforts to complicate the process and entangle us in a deep and unsolvable mess. So, its back to doing some firefighting efforts and trying to keep my cool at fixing the problem and them giving them a tongue lashing.

I’ve spent the last week, sorting through my things and what has upset me the most is that I found so many old photo albums that I never get to see. One takes so many pictures and for them just to get put away in a photo album is such a waste. I think getting a lcd digital picture frame just makes so much sense, since one can enjoy all the pictures one takes, rather than just storing them away to be taken out every couple of years. With a digital photo frame, you can keep changing the picture and enjoy seeing your pictures in perfect clarity. There are also lots of options on the size of the digital frame, ranging from 7 inches to 10 inches. Once we move into our new apartment and get all our basics set up, a digital picture frame is at the top of my shopping list.

So, we finally managed to finish our packing and moving and I am now in Delhi on a break before I start setting up our new home. It’s been an extremely hectic week and I’m completely exhausted with the tons of work that needed to be done, in terms of packing, sorting, organizing and everything else. Just glad that it’s all over now.
