Our Branson trip

Writing about road trips reminded me of the time we drove down to Branson in south east part of Missouri from when were in Kansas City. Branson is a cute little town, full of county music performance theaters and lots of great places for barbecue food. The hills around Branson are simply beautiful and it’s a superb getaway from both Kansas City and Wichita. I never got to go back there, even though I thought it would be possible since it was quite close, but hope to go there once again.

Memories of road trips

My friend in college Sarah became a huge car buff, when she was gifted a Ford Mustang convertible by her parents as a graduation gift. She kitted it out with every possible gadget and gizmo, including radar detectors, which really came in handy as she used to love to drive fast. Luckily she never got caught at all, and hers became the vehicle of choice for all our trips out of town. Those really were fun days, when every weekend we used to plan a road trip, buy some fun food and head out of town.
