We’re in the process of finalizing on an apartment for investment purposes and what is taking the longest is searching for the right mortgage lender. It would be nice to get some mortgage leads so it would be easier to know where to head to. When it comes to getting a mortgage, it always makes sense to have as much information with you as possible. The decision to take a mortgage is quite a major decision for any person and all mortgage leads need to be followed up with great seriousness.

The apartment we’re interested in will only be ready in late 2009 or early 2010, so it’s a medium term investment, but since the project is at the pre-launch stage we’re getting a good price on it, along with some extra facilities and first choice of apartment locations. So now the entire focus is on getting some good mortgage leads and finalizing with a mortgage lender that not only offers us the best terms but has a good reputation in the market.

I wrote about trying to find some good Thai food a few days back. Well, we had the most divine Thai food last night from the food court at the Mall of the Emirates. We’ve eaten there several times and each time have simply loved the food, for its presentation, authenticity, taste, aroma and service. Their servings are quite large as well, so there’s always some left for the next day’s lunch for me.

Interestingly and sadly, I don’t remember their name, even though we go there so often, we never notice what they are called. Well, I will notice it next time I am there, so I can write about it again. I wish they would open a branch closer to where we live, so it would be more accessible for us to eat there more often.
