I’ve been posting more regularly for the past two weeks and have already seen an increase in the number of daily visits I get. So, if you want more traffic and want to build on readership then you must write more often, say about 4-5 short posts a day or 1-2 long posts a day, and hope to attract the kind of readers who are interested in what you have to say. While I write mostly about business, relating to retail news, consumer insight, shopping scoops and product reviews, I have written about travel and investments here as well. By far it is for shopping stuff and trends that most people visit my blog for and that gives me a good understanding of my readers.

Good advice, but what should people with more than one blog do?

I have more than one blog and have segregated my topics, so I can stay true to the niche of the blog. My travel blog is by and large about travel and my retail blog is also 90% about retail. It was really hard to separate them at first, but now I find it easy to keep them apart and build on a specific niche for each of them.
