Ok, I’ve never been much of a fan of chandeliers, but some of the newer ones I’ve seen are making me rethink my position entirely. Sometimes, they can make a room feel too formal or even artificial, but I think that is more of a personal taste kind of thing and maybe even selecting the right style, but can’t cover all chandeliers. If you have the higher ceilings and larger space then chandeliers definitely add a grand touch to the room. The D’Legne Chandelier is a chandelier that is only found on the Internet and is not available at regular stores, where middlemen often mark up the price by double or even triple.

Online shopping can be a lot of fun, but it’s also quite confusing. I spent a good amount of time researching for a new desktop and for a while I was quite confused, since I knew there were better options, but I was not able to find them. The problem is that when you use a regular shopping sites, you get to see results of the sites and stores that have paid, yes paid the shopping sites to be featured. So the results are not necessarily good. Instead, if you use something specific like ShopWiki, you are sure to find better and more authentic results.

Other than available options, one is also able to get some very good and useful information about the products, which is really useful when you’re buying electronic items. Not only did I find the information helpful, but I was able to decided which type of system I needed, eventually finalizing on a HP desktop. In addition, since I also needed up update my laptop, I found lots of comparisons on different brands and models as well. Shopping this way is definitely a saner way to tackle, instead of going from one site to another and getting confused about models, brands, prices and shops. I think I’ll be doing more shopping this way!

I’ve realized that I really look forward to my vacations, not only for the beautiful landscapes they take me to, but also for the way I am able to relive that time through my photographs. So I get to enjoy the time twice over, it seems! This shot was taken at a resort called Cardamom Club, which was located just outside Thekkady in Kerala. It was hidden away in a little valley and once you got there, there was no one else, no highway, no roads, no people going by, just peacefulness and serenity.

I’m quite comfortable in a rural setting. In fact I love being out in nature, out in the open and in rustic locations. However, when I was asked to find some good cattle supplies in the area, I really had no idea. So, I went online and searched for that specific area and came back with some good options. That was pretty impressive, since one does not think that things like cattle supplies would have sites online, but it’s the electronic age now. Go online for anything you need, is the mantra!

With the shopping festival going on, there are a large number of discounts and offers available these days. We’re quite tempted to upgrade the TV, since there is a great offer on with lots of free add ons and even a plasma stand, which is pretty handy, right? I thought so too! We still in the process of doing our research and finding the best place to buy, but it really does look like a great deal. Movie and TV watching will definitely be a fun activity around the home with this upgrade!

A picture of my home… of a view that I really like… a view that I see everyday…. but am still not tired of. That is what home is, something you see everyday, but don’t tire of. A lot of people are not too attached to their homes, but I love my home…no matter where in the world we are, and love to make it special, not with material things, but with warmth and love.

back home....

On our travels, I found that several of the places we stayed at used a type of a tankless water heater, which is a really great way to be efficient and environmentally proactive. I’m quite keen to get something like this installed for ourselves as well, but have to study how exactly it works and to see if it will be possible for us to use or not. I will be calling the company and seeing the feasibility of it all.

Why is it that most people don’t even bother finding out a decent amount of insurance rates before they sign on the dotted line? I find that the average person is overwhelmed by the unending choices and options and usually end up signing with the first company agent they speak to. While it is better than nothing at all, it really does make sense to do a little research and find the company that will suit and cover your requirements exactly as you need them to. Remember to check insurance rates with several companies, on the net on on the phone before committing to any of them.

Our trip to Kerala was really superb. I haven’t got around to sorting all the photos as yet and I can’t believe it’s all over so quickly. I had been looking forward to this trip for simply ages and enjoyed it so much that it went by so fast. The trip was also really great fun since there were so many of us traveling together…11 of us+1 helper and 1 driver. Family trips are great fun I find, we had taken a family road trip (just 6 of us then) on the East coast of the US several years back, but this was much, much larger in scale. And more fun as well!

Tech News 12:50 pm

Well, I finally got my new laptop! I had planned to get on in the beginning of the year, but my old one died on me in early December, so I got a new one then itself. I had to do a good amount of reading and research to find the laptop that I wanted with the right amount of memory and accessories. Initially, I didn’t know any of the specifications, but after a while I could spout RAM, bits and bytes and compact flash data at the drop of a hat! It’s been a great education of sorts, since I really did manage to pick up a lot about software. Hopefully, I will continue to learn, regardless of requiring it or not.
